I mentioned earlier that there were only two fiberglass poles for this tent, the old tent used four plus small ones for the rain flap. The larger poles can easily be replaced but the ones that were used for the rain fly couldn’t be replaced. However, we did find a couple of things that piqued our interest. One thing we also found particularly interesting about this tent is the number of versions available. So I am a solo car camper, so for me size and weight is not an issue, that’s why I decided on the Coleman Sundome 4. I thought about getting the 6-person tent so I could stand inside, but was worried it might be a bit tough to set up alone so I decided on the 4-person. I cant stand up inside this tent but with 59″ of headroom it’s much taller than my 2-person tent. Also with a footprint of 9 by 7 feet I have all kinds of room.
