Maybe it’s just me, but it seems like it rains every time I go camping. It’s water-resistant enough and has an excellent ventilation system to keep the Core Instant Tent cool and dry for hot weather and summer camping. The rainfly isn’t considered waterproof, but the Core 9-Person Instant Cabin Tent does have H20 Block Technology. Like many cabin tents, the Core 9-Person Instant Cabin Tent has two spacious rooms separated by a room divider. Lugging around heavy gear isn’t anyone’s idea of a good time and a lightweight tent is crucial when you’re backpacking.
The peak height is 6’2”, which will allow most hikers to stand up without needing to crouch. In addition, this cabin-style tent has excellent verticality of the walls, so you shouldn’t need to crouch if you’re anywhere but in the direct center of the tent. This will most certainly be a tight squeeze for six people, but it could more comfortably accommodate two parents and two children. The single walls are seam-sealed and have good coverage all the way around. The tub-style floor and tent walls are made of thick 150D polyester. The six stakes will hold the low-profile design down just fine with the two pre-attached guylines.
It’s simple in design and is very small for a 2 person tent. The Coleman 2 person pop up tent is also perfect for kids as well. You can pop it up in the backyard for sleepovers or even use it as an instant play place inside. I’m going to tell you right now that the 2 man instant tent is very small.
The main appeal of the Coleman Instant 6 is detailed in its name. The aluminum poles are also quite durable; the leg poles are 16mm thick, while the roof poles are 12mm thick. All of these heavy-duty materials add a great deal to the weight—at nearly 25lb, this is the heaviest tent in our 2021 review. However, this was not a bother to us, as this tent really only needs to be transported from the car to the impact pad, and we’d rather heft a few extra pounds than sacrifice durability. There’s no included footprint with this tent, and we’d recommend purchasing either a 9’x9’ or 10’x10’ footprint, which unfortunately is not offered by Coleman. However, you won’t be fully protected from the rain if you don’t leave the rainfly on. If this is a concern to you, the Coleman 6 Person Instant Tent would be the better choice.

There is plenty of space around under the windows so they missed the opportunity to make this tent far more livable. The problem may appear with vertical flaps when you have rain and strong wind which coleman ice chest can force water to move to the sides and under the flaps tp the zippers. So my point is that I would not rely on this system as fully waterproof, although it really looks great and durable.
I’ve used this tent in windstorms, rainstorms, hot sunny days, and cold fall nights and everything is still as good as new. It can be done but there’s a lot of strain on the zipper and the seams around it.
