Ozark Trail Sun Shelter 8×6

Ozark Trail is basically Walmart’s house brand, or private brand, and I think the reason Walmart and Coleman are able to keep their prices low is because all these tents are made in either China or Bangladesh. The number of windows and the size of the windows in Ozark Trail Tents is also lacking when compared to Coleman tents. I also noticed ozark trail sleeping bag that the fabric of most of my Coleman Tents tend to stay dry in light to moderate rain, and would only start getting wet after 45 minutes to 1 hour of super heavy rainfall. As for my Ozark Trail 10-Person Tent, it was able to stay dry only for about 10 minutes of mostly light rain and some moderate rainfall, not even heavy rain.

I have been looking to replace it and am unable to find anything of comparable quality. To the person looking for the rain fly, I kept mine along with the poles. We will be upgrading next summer season but only for lack of space as the kids get bigger and/or want their own tent. As for any tent, I would recommend an additional tarp on top and on the ground, if you think you will be camping in the pouring rain for several days straight. It has lasted us through rain storms, thunderstorms and wind. It is quick and easy to put up despite being a pretty big tent.

The zippers remained free throughout, but the main entry inside zipper pull failed, leaving it operable, if not a little awkward to start from the inside. The stakes provided are aluminum wire and bend easily in packed dirt, so you will end up buying sturdier replacements for most types of camping. The mesh on one window mildewed from wet storage, and several small holes resulted, making that window unusable midway through the second summer.

Benzene has been used in the manufacturing of this product to meet CPAI-84 fabric fire retardant standards for the tent and canopy industries. Slide the long tent pole into the sleeve sewn around the door. Place each pole end into the metal pins at the base of the tent. Digging our toes in the sand under one of the best full-overhead coverage beach tents on the market. A frequent reader of our site put the lightweight Cool Cabana pop up beach canopy to the test during a West Coast vacation.

They’re not built for heavy winds, and they certainly aren’t made to stand up to heavy snow. Livability describes the overall day-to-day experience of owning and using a tent, and tents that are more comfortable, convenient, and easy to use score the highest in terms of livability. Our favorite Ozark Trail tent currently is the Ozark Trail Three Room Instant Cabin. This tent’s combination of floor space, livability, and value make it a home run for large groups or families looking to spread out in style, but this 12-person behemoth won’t be everyone’s first choice. Getting our hands dirty with one of the best sun shelters on the market.

These push locks get very difficult to use over time, especially if the tent is used on the beach and exposed to sand and saltwater, causing rust build up. Many newer tent brands like EZ-Up use revolutionary thumb lock sliders or larger easy to release buttons, which are a much better user experience when setting the canopy up or taking it down. With the push buttons you need to worry about pinching fingers or not being able to release the button when it gets rusted, which is never a pleasant experience. The legs extend to give the top peak a height of about 8’10” which will be plenty of headroom for anyone underneath.

There are 4 walls included and one of the walls has a zipper in the center for easy access under the canopy. The canopy also has an awning, banner holder, stakes and guy ropes. The canopy folds down to 52.5″ in length and easily fits into the roller bag with all of the accessories.

The 8-foot-by-8-foot Instant Sun Shade is the easiest of the two to set up. Simply fold down the sides of the shelter from the center, straighten the folding joints and extend the sliding poles to their full length. Support clips hold the top of the extending poles to the upper fabric of the sun shelter. With ozark trail screen house experience, you’ll be able to pop the sun shelter up in about 30 seconds. Taking it down is equally as fast, and an expandable carrying bag means you don’t have to waste time folding and compressing to make it fit. The Ozark Trail instant sun shade was incredibly easy to put up and even easier to take down.
