For information on the GenesisV2100 mountain bike review, see this article. The Datum comes with 32c tyres, which is a bit closer to the ‘road’ end of the spectrum. But there is clearance for up to 38c, so if the conditions require it, this bike is able to handle the rougher stuff. Some adventures are genesis mountain bike about taking your time and drinking in your surroundings, others are about getting there fast. This bike is designed for lightweight bike-packing, able to tackle ultra-distances on mixed terrain. The Mantle is the brand’s XC and endurance bike, and is a full carbon 29er hardtail with 100mm travel.
The aluminum structure of the whole body is lighter in weight, which makes it suitable for the first mountain bike. A total of 21 gears, whether climbing or road driving, is enough to use. In low gears, you can ride leisurely and watch the scenery along the way.
It means less shifting, less weight (due to lack of front gears). As I mentioned with the Incline, the Boundary has this functionality. I don’t have to worry about destroying the frame of my bike if I hit the derailleur. Twist shifters tend to be a quick and easy way to tell the quality of a bike.
Let me end this with that fact that the Incline was a good $75 cheaper, and offers an awesome bang for the buck! It would be awesome for someone that wants to get started, but knows they will get a completely different bike down the road, and doesn’t want to upgrade it. For the price, the Boundary obviously has higher quality then it probably should! It was sub $200 and offered a lot for the genesis mountain bike price, as we will talk about here in a moment. There was a lot to like about the Genesis Incline, including the price, its suspension and even the styling, let’s take a look at everything more in depth here. The Genesis Incline is the bike I have the most experience with between the two bicycles, as I ended up with the Schwinn around the time the snow began to fly, and the cold moved in.
So it is a little lighter than the Genesis 26″ V2100 Mountain Bike, and a little more flexible when dealing with off-road climbs. And as the brand has always insisted, a lower stand-up height would be more suitable for women. It can be rated as one of the cheapest mountain bikes with good value for money. Smoothly adjusting the gears during the ride can have a good riding experience, especially on mountain roads with up and down hills.
We’d have liked the wheels to be tubeless-ready, but that might be asking too much, considering how little you’re paying here. On the contrary, the larger 27.5″ tire diameter is not as nimble as the Genesis 26″ V2100 Mountain Bike on tight trails. So for riders who like to ride on tight trails, the Genesis 26″ V2100 Mountain Bike would be more suitable.
These are Genesis’ entry-level road bikes and are the cheapest in their range. The geometry is a little more upright, making for a more comfortable and less twitchy ride. There are mounts for mudguards and a pannier rack, which expands the range of use from just road riding to commuting and even lightweight cycle touring. At the entry-level, the Delta is an aluminium frame and carbon fork road bike with endurance geometry that comes with rim brakes and provides a comfortable ride.
Set up was simple, the bike did come with a whole bunch of spacers below the stem, after less than 30 seconds on the bike I had these shuffled to get the front as low as possible and it was off to the trails. The biggest complaint with this bike is that you can’t upgrade much on it. Again, this is not a problem for the beginner, but for a more experienced rider, this will be problematic. Let’s put it this way – this won’t be the last bike you ever buy. 20 years of bike enthusiasts,

how to choose the best bikes. In terms of drivetrain, the Liv Tempt 4 is a 2×7 drivetrain with relatively fewer speed options.
For commuters and city-dwellers, Genesis has several bikes to choose from. Genesis has a lot of bikes in its ‘other’ category, so we’ve broken them down into Adventure, Cyclocross and Urban. Next up is the endurance-focused Zeal, which is full carbon, so you can ride longer and faster with less effort. One of our service advisors will put your bike in the stand and run it through our professional inspection process. They’ll describe what they’re noticing and address any concerns. Alright, now we have gone through what I like, and don’t like about each bike.
Elsewhere, the 650b Fugio adventure bike and CDA models both receive spec and paint updates, as do the Tour de Fer and Vagabond. Cornering is quick and precise with rear wheel drift easily attainable. If you’re an advanced rider, you’ll probably find the V2100 a little boring, so we’d advise you to keep looking.
