26-Inch Woodhaven Womens Cruiser Bike, Purple

As mountain bike design evolved, manufacturers were able to find more capable performance with different tube lengths and angles. With longer, more sloped top tubes and dropper post-ready designs (and more variations across brands), the seat tube is no longer the best way to approximate a bike’s size. This paved the way for brands to start their own sizing methods. But getting on our step-thru frame electric bike is very gentle and elegant.

The powerful hydraulic disc brakes provide excellent control and stopping power. It also has a wider range of fit than most competitors, with a highly adjustable seat and handlebar. The Blix Vika+ Flex has several useful features, including integrated lights, fenders, and a sturdy rear cargo rack.

Our least favorite part of the 700-Series was the extra time and effort we put into the assembly. This bike comes less assembled than others we’ve tested, and all the additional features take longer to assemble during the initial unboxing. However, this is a one-time task so we wouldn’t base our final purchase decision on this factor. Also, its above-average weight means it doesn’t feel the most nimble, but we found it easily maneuverable in most situations. Ultimately, we were impressed by the power, range, comfort, smooth ride, and included features of the 700-Series, not to mention the competitive price. It is perfect for around-town commutes, errand runs, or outdoor adventures.

Help your kids have as much fun as possible out of their first years on two wheels. Look out for bikes that allow you to adjust the seat and the bar so their bike can grow along with them. Imagine that with a full suspension and an aerodynamic body shell, DOT rims/tires, hydraulic brakes on all three wheels, everything reinforced to handle the added forces, and then geared huffy bikes to do like 130 mph. Eventually, I bought a British Falcon road bike (which again, I still have and is rideable) because it weighed about 20 pounds less than the Varsity. I’ve also owned several Jaguars and still have one, so if I don’t hate people from the UK now, I never will. My current Jaguar isn’t in my basement, by the way, but it does throw a lot of trouble lights.

An electric bike can put a little more oomph in your pedal and help you get around town or the trails faster while still allowing you to move your legs and get as much of a workout as you choose. We have purchased and tested over 80 electric bikes, from budget bikes, commuters, and folding models, to top-of-the-line electric mountain bikes with all the newest features. Whatever your interest in electric bikes, we have information, advice, and recommendations to help you choose the best fit for your needs, lifestyle, and budget. 26-inch wheels were the mountain bike standard in the past, but most mid and upper tier mountain bikes you’ll see on the market today use either 29-inch wheels or the slightly smaller 27.5-inch wheels. 29ers and 27.5+ bikes have faster top speeds and roll over obstacles easier than 26-inch wheels, so if you want to ride off-road, you’ll appreciate bigger tires. 26-inch wheels are often great for kids who have graduated from their 24-inch kids bike but aren’t quite big enough to use the bigger wheels found on most adult bikes.
