It took less than an hour to set up from start to finish, and because of the transportation wheels, it was easy to move around. Then we come to wheels, and unlike the Mesa, the High Timber has various sizes. You have wheels as small as 24″ for juniors, and then it goes to 26″, 27.5″, and 29″ for tall adults. This is excellent from Schwinn, and it makes the bike much more suited to your height and size. On the standard schwinn bicycles models, you have rim brakes which are going to give you ok stopping power, and on the ALX, you get disc brakes which are much better at stopping and in all conditions. The brakes are rim brakes on the Mesa 3, but on the Mesa 2, you get mechanical disc brakes which give good stopping power.
The Myx II Plus is an upgraded version of the now-discontinued Myx Plus, which we originally tested in 2020 and liked. A subscription to Beachbody On Demand Interactive, or BODi ($39 per month), gives you access to live and on-demand group classes. When we first tried the Myx Plus, it offered its own Myx-branded workouts and coaches. (The Myx II, which doesn’t come with the exercise equipment, is also available.) We enjoyed using the equipment and liked the convenience of having it. A Polar OH1 heart-rate monitor is also included, and you are encouraged to wear it (paired to the app) for every workout. And if your heart-rate monitor isn’t charged or disappears, you’ve lost a large part of the Myx workout ethos.
The Yosuda Pro Indoor Cycling Bike L-010 disappointed us with its cheap feel, and our testers did not enjoy their time on it (one called it a “tin can”).
