The car park system is operated on behalf of Betteshanger Park by Park With Ease Limited. You can pay at any time during your visit or online at up to 48 hours after your visit. We operate a barrier-less admission kent road bike system which uses Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology. You can enter Betteshanger on foot or by bicycle for free. There are no charges to use the cycle tracks, trails or the play area.
These surveys will help us gauge the success of the trial, and inform our recommendations for the Kent Road bike lanes. These recommendations will be put to Councillors at a Council meeting later this year, where they will make a decision on the future of the project. Thank you to everyone who submitted feedback during this trial. Our final survey closed on Sunday 7 May 2023 and Council Officers will make their recommendation to Council on 13 September 2023.
The lottery will take place on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 with winners being contacted starting at 8 a.m. On Thursday, February 23, 2023 to choose their boat slip. Please make sure you are available this day by phone to ensure selection goes smoothly. Pets on a six-foot leash and running are permitted on the rustic trail. Kensington Metropark is a popular fishing location in Southeast Michigan. In any season, Kent Lake presents plenty of opportunities to cast your line on the shore or from a boat.
Originally a temporary course for the 2000 Worlds, it has been the official course of the U.S. Amateur Disc Golf Championship since 2002 and has been the site of the Great Lakes Open on the Disc Golf Pro Tour since 2018. Grab your skis and glide across more than 12 miles of groomed trails at Kensington Metropark. Coast past snow-glazed fields, frozen ponds and beautiful deciduous forest. Beginner and intermediate level trails traverse the park and golf course.

Betteshanger prides itself on providing a safe environment but we ask that children are supervised at all times. Accompanying teachers benefit from complimentary places up to the number of children within the group.
After selecting a slip, you will not have an opportunity to return the slip for another. Kensington Metropark has a limited number of slips available on Kent Lake. Interested boaters must enter the online Boat Slip Lottery. Boats kent road bike must be removed on or before this date so that the water level can be lowered to the winter level. Metropark vehicle and boat passes are required all year. A rustic trail loop is located near the Spring Hill picnic area.
