Mongoose Fat Tire Bikes : Target

Blair is a bike geek, mechanic, and mountain bike junkie. I’ve attached some shots, there don’t seem to be any serial mongoose racing bike numbers. The Mongoose Argus Trail is most certainly a unique bike that meets the needs of an extreme niche.

Mongoose has given the “go-ahead” to do a long term review to assess the handling and function of the Argus once winter comes. So if you’re curious about how the bike performs in the snow, stay tuned….. That said, there are plenty of families who need a kids fat bike for niche riding either in sand or in snow. For those select families, there is the Mongoose Argus Trail.

It is still a rigid bike and that shows in the speeds and ability to descend. My son was apprehensive to let loose with the rigid platform. He did say that he noticed a difference in the handling with the big tires mongoose bicycle and it felt kind of like his Kawasaki KLX 110. As you can imagine, my 70-pound child really struggles pushing 50% of his body weight uphill with the Argus. The Trax tow rope was an absolute must with this bike.

Mongoose has the right mountain bike, whether you’re tackling technical terrain or exploring with the family. If used within its design and limits, Mongoose offers very good bicycles. A buyer simply has to be aware of those limits, and for their own purposes, select the proper Mongoose bicycle whether it is for commuting or energetic cycling.

The torsion and stiffness from fat wheels and hubs paired with quick release skewers might allow for some flex, but when riding mellow trails, the setup seemed to do just fine. The fat tires provide super smooth ride where you go. Get to the office on time, roll quickly through the urban jungle and discover the new all-terrai. Speed across virtually any terrain with ease on the Mongoose Men’s Malus 26 in Fat Tire Bike.

The component build is competitive, keeps cost down, and functions as needed. If you were wanting to replace the rigid fork with a suspension fork, then you would probably be hard pressed to find a fat fork that would fit. BMX bikes designed by Mongoose in the 1970s and 1980s shaped a generation of innovation and design. The Mongoose Argus Trail handled my excursions with ease.
