This tent was close to foolproof when it came to the rain fly because it was already connected. Not the best choice for long trips or hikers who need to carry a large amount of gear. If you’re on the trail for several days, toilet paper and a cathole shovel are necessities. When you do have to answer the call of the wild, make sure to stay at least 100 yards away from a water source and bury any solid waste at least 6 inches deep. Includes compression straps on the sides to keep your gear stable. This pack has a lot of extra storage pockets for organization of your gear.
I might actually pick up another for my son to use. Because it’s basically a single compartment stuff bag, I did have to make sure the items inside were distributed properly. I’ve carried it in bad weather, including rain and snow. While this pack won’t work for everyone, it’s a practical size for day trips, light travelers, and kids. Temperatures can swing from chilly mornings to sweltering afternoons.
At 35 liters, this pack is perfect for day trips or for hikers who don’t need to carry a lot of gear on the trails.
