The thing wore like iron and was amazingly waterproof. I use the thing on the beach at many many campsites it was a 6 foot dome style, just enough to stand up when you are putting your clothes ozark trail sleeping bag on. After reading the reviews here, I decided to seal the entire tent with Grangers Fabsil. The tent fabric was such that it only took about three pints to cover the tent and fly sheet.
What are they plastic or made out of pewter. And before you guys cop an attitude, I have been camping since I was at least 4 years old and I am now in my mid-50s. These push locks get very difficult to use over time, especially if the tent is used on the beach and exposed to sand and saltwater, causing rust build up. With the push buttons you need to worry about pinching fingers or not being able to release the button when it gets rusted, which is never a pleasant experience. The Ozark Tail sun shade comes with side curtains to cover the mesh on the side.
I bought this tent to take my family out camping so my kids could experience the pleasure of the outdoors like I did when I was a kid. Everything was great until it come a Florida rain Saturday. We would have been better off with a bed sheet. This thing has holes on the seams as big as a ink pin head.
So I went out and got 2 tarps and draped them over the top and tied them down to the tent. Though I didn’t rainproof this tent right away, it didn’t leak that bad anyway. Plenty of room was a plus (easily fits a queen sized airbed maybe 2, and a decent ceiling height also was good. Can be set up by 1 person, but much easier with 2 people. It is perfectly possible for one person to set it up as long as it is not windy.
It kept anyone out of the sun who chose to be that day. It was nice having some refuge when you wanted it. Whether you were just ozark trail sleeping bag hot, or starting to sun burn, it definitely served it’s purpose. We did take it to the beach on a day that had a little wind.
Every single one of our camping experiences has been ruined because of the OZARK tent. I would like a response to this please and I do expect some compensation of some kind! Every time we put some faith in these tents we got let down.
There is only one shade, which can be put on either side of the sun shelter. You just angle the shelter where you need it, then attach the shade. First off, this is an affordable solution for a sun shelter. It’s not jam packed with all the bells and whistles that some of the other sun shades have, but the price was right, and it’s more than serving it’s purpose. When I first set up this tent I was surprised how HUGE it was.
