I loved the size of this screen house but after a few uses, the 4-way hub gable cracked and a couple of the curved roof poles bent a little. I can attribute these problems mostly to the constant use and age of the tent really. The zippers remained free throughout, but the main entry inside zipper pull failed, leaving it operable, if not a little awkward ozark trail screen house to start from the inside. The stakes provided are aluminum wire and bend easily in packed dirt, so you will end up buying sturdier replacements for most types of camping. The mesh on one window mildewed from wet storage, and several small holes resulted, making that window unusable midway through the second summer. The screen is great for nice weather.
Hopefully I can find a replacement part. I contacted Wal-Mart (1-800-WALMART) to see where I could get a replacement pole for the tent. They are idiots and seemed like they didn’t want to help me by supplying me with the manufacturer’s phone number. When I got the thing home and deboxed it, the reality began to set in.
Absolutely no apology for the poor quality of the product. The plastic corners are not worth putting the room up. But I did find this to get parts from California. Great product, however, like everyone else, unable to locate replacement parts.
I had to use every knot I’ve learned from rock climbing. There’s shade, and fewer bugs than outside the screenhouse. I do have some reservations left, though. I wonder what will happen when the wind comes. Will I come home and just find the screenhouse gone, or will I see it blowing around in the street, trailing pipe segments?
Our favorite Ozark Trail tent currently is the Ozark Trail Three Room Instant Cabin. Every year, thousands of new campers get their first taste of the outdoors in an Ozark Trail tent. Their combination of space and affordability catches the eye of many campers, but the details on these shelters can be lacking.
If anyone reading this review has any idea where I can purchase another one just like it, please contact me at I have been trying to replace it ever since I lost it in a wind storm. I put it up in my yard for my now wife’s bridal shower. I had ozark trail sun shelter it spiked down and secured really good. It looked wonderful in the yard so I decided to leave it for a while. I came in from work one day and to my surprise it was 60 yards away from me all torn up from landing on my neighbor’s spiked fence.
The weight of the water actually bent several poles on the roof and one leg. This probably could have been prevented by adding more yellow support poles to the roof. The mesh doesn’t exactly feel soft and silky, and I’m pretty sure it’s not no-see-um mesh, though it’ll keep the bigger bugs out. I also found a bunch of loose threads on the floor when I first got into the tent, and excess material on some parts. Ozark trail chair For weather resistance, I looked at rain and wind protection. For ventilation, this Ozark Trail 10-Person Tent has a lot of mesh on the roof of the tent.
