how to assemble an ozark trail 13×10 screen house

I will never buy an Ozark Trail tent in my life and I will tell everyone I know that if they buy one what to expect. Find the best hiking/camping product for your next outdoor adventure using our independent reviews and ratings. My experience with Ozark Trail equipment has been to reinforce the old adage “you get what you pay for”.

My husband and I were in the screen room, keeping the rain from puddling for more than a half hour. We will not replace the 3-way hubs again. This is totaly wrong that a company doesn’t keep parts in stock. I was told to try and return it ozark trail screen house to the place I purchased it or wait the 4-6 weeks. Well I’m a camper and I intend to use this weekly. The rest of the process was funny too, with wimpy frizzy guylines, and inexplicable bits of plastic that are supposed to tighten them.

Now unable to get all the parts I need to make it worth repairing. We bought this screen house at an auction for $5. Great for our buffet line for family camping. Sadly it blew over over in a storm last night breaking two corner pieces and the middle X broke. We are looking for these pieces if anyone wants to sell. It is of poor design, in that this could be avoided using 2 more yellow, curved roof poles which would not allow the rain to puddle on the roof.

As stated above, durability and materials are the main pain point of Ozark Trail tents. 2 guys hooked in the rear corners while 2 of us bent the poles (erecting the tent upright) into place and hooked them in the front corners. We then attached quick clips, while 2 guys took the rainfly, put it into place, and put in the rainfly pole. We then finished staking the tent down and guying out the tent and rainfly.

It’s starting to wear out and I’m looking to replace but can’t find one anywhere. Can someone point me to the person please. We’ve also put together a handy buyer’s guide down at the bottom as a resource for shoppers ozark trail sun shelter who are new to the Ozark Trail brand, so make sure to check it out. There you’ll find all the info you could ever want on the materials, build quality, and weather-worthiness of these affordable tents.

Ozark Trail makes tents of all sizes, but we’ve found larger family camping tents to be their forte. I had a 3-Person EZ Up tent (which I had no problem with except it was too small). If anyone has a hub gable or #1 Roof pole, I would be interested in buying those parts.

Keeps sun and bugs at bay which was my main reason for buying it. Seems harder to take down than to put up. The way the poles clip into hubs is a little hard to get apart. It seems like I am the second person to review this product, and the second one to give it a 1 Star rating. Goes together well, but as soon as we got a little shower…. Total collapse, hubs (2) shattered and two sets of poles completely destroyed.

The screening and roof are all in excellent condition, along with all the poles, etc. With two more roof poles, I’m sure this could be prevented. I have purchased outdoor sporting goods from Coleman and they not only have much better products, but they stand behind what they sell.
