The wrench built into my multi-tool is made for tires, so it is slightly too large to fit and adjust the handlebars because they used another type of bolt like screw for it. This is a minor problem because I just added a wrench to my backpack repair kit and moved along. Any off-road surface will grip the knobby tires to give you a safe and secure ride, but still provide a smooth, effortless ride on paved surfaces. One feature about the Hyper MTB Ebike that I really like is that the battery is removable. I think Apple started us down a path of non-removable batteries that a lot of electronics manufacturers have adopted but, the trouble with that is that it isn’t user friendly. With the Hyper MTB Ebike, you can charge your bike with the battery installed or removed, which I personally love.
What I found with the Hyper Ebike, is that pedal assistance in this case does not mean that you are putting in a tremendous amount of effort to use the motor. All that is required of the rider is a quick revolution of the pedals every so often to keep the motor engaged and working for you. If you are maxing this bike out at weight capacity and going up a steep hill, you will need to put a bit more effort in. There is only so much a motor can do and you shouldn’t expect an Ebike to have the same towing capacity as an ATV. Something to consider with this Ebike is that it is not operated by a throttle like some of the more expensive options on the market.
In the intervening years Hyper has maintained its position as a leader in BMX, with a full line of products for racing and freestyle riders. Hyper has also continued its commitment to the sport by sponsoring riders, teams, as well as being the series title sponsor for several major events. A few problems I found with the bike are as follows-
First, I don’t like how the handle bars are designed because you need a hyper mountain bike wrench to tighten them up and put them on. This is slightly annoying because other than the tires, everything else is assembled using hex keys (also known as an allen wrench). I would have prefered if the handlebars required Hex keys because you could use a multi-tool to quickly make adjustments while riding without needing any other items, but as it is now I always have to carry an adjustable wrench with me.
Highlighting the fact that the Hyper bike has a complete suspension system is the key characteristic. I have tightened it a few times and it now finally stays in place, but it can be dangerous when it randomly slides over while riding. It has a dual steel suspension frame (front fork shocks and strut on the frame located under the seat area) that provides a comfortable ride for the 26′ Hyper Shocker Bike, even on off-road surfaces. Speech wheels, resin platform pedals, and a rear derailleur are other elements of this hyper bicycles. In terms of the 20 mile claim, we were able to easily accomplish this in city streets with minimal inclines.
