Even at level 3 assistance, my pedals are free spinning in 7th gear. The only time you’ll ever need to balance power output would be if you were planning on doing an entire 20 miles without charging. For commuters and people who run errands, that’s not always going to be the case. Speaking of the seat, it’s not the most comfortable I’ve ridden on, but that’s easy enough to replace with a third-party seat if you like. In the past, the range you got depended on how much work you were willing to put into it. On my older e-bike (also a Schwinn) I get about the same 20 miles of range at level 5, but I also get closer to 40 miles at level 3. In general, if purchased on the Schwinn website, your new bike will be shipped within hours of being ordered and should arrive within 7-10 days. So to offer a full-size electric bike with otherwise nice commuter features yet with such a small battery is a bit surprising. With 2.6″ tires, you’ve got a lot of air and rubber under you to tackle more than just well-manicured bicycle lanes. Hitting curbs or potholes will be smoother than most pure commuter bikes, especially considering the inclusion of the front suspension fork and suspension seat post.
When it comes to buying things in the 21st century, we seem to have an embarrassment of riches. Luckily, it doesn’t have to be an exhaustive and daunting task to pick the best electric bike. Riders of all ability levels and all shapes and sizes can pretty easily determine the best e-bike for them with just a few minutes of reading and research.
This creates the feeling of being pushed – it’s that extra boost of energy e-bikes are famous for. Battery range and top speed can vary depending on rider height and weight, and riding conditions like hills or wind. Speaking of trails, I found that the Schwinn EC1 is mongoose excursion great for more than just nice bike lanes and smooth sidewalks. The decently large tires also make it a fun bike for nature trails and gravel paths. I wouldn’t want to take it off any jumps due to the lack of suspension, but it’s not really meant for that, either.

But it’s one of the least expensive ones you can buy from schwinn electric bike a bike company. Respectfully, most of the e-bikes you find online come from companies with alphabet-soup for names that may sell just as many portable batteries as they do e-bikes.
Select models feature a throttle, which makes it easy to get going from a stop. The Bafang Max mid-motor is efficient, extremely quiet, and capable of climbing steeper hills if…… I mostly used the motor in pedal-assist mode, though I will cover the throttle in the next section.
