I like nothing more than an easy-to-use, no-fuss-no-muss product that can cut down my grooming time. I was still stuck on the pre-shave, shaving cream, razor, aftershave hamster wheel and couldn’t seem to get off. No matter what I did, and no matter what product I tried, I couldn’t seem to get rid of them. For the first iteration of this guide, we enlisted a panel of 12 to test a dozen electric razors each.
With a long-lasting Li-Ion battery, now up to 18% longer with Gentle Mode. It’s setting the standard for other brands and far outpaces its predecessor, which itself remains one of the best in class. But I found that it gave me a slightly less-close shave than the Braun, and at the end of the day, that braun electric shavers was the most heavily weighted scoring category. But when you tally everything else, it makes perfect sense to put your money behind the sheer bar-raising muscle here. Whichever model you end up choosing, you’re getting a good deal on a premium electric razor that will last you for quite some time.
This type of head movement will actually be useful in practice and require less wrist work on your part for a clean and effective shave. It usually costs a bit less, it’s easier to use and the replacement head is also affordable. It’s also one of the main reasons why I tend to recommend the Series 3 ProSkin over the Series 5 50 as the better budget-friendly Braun shaver for most users. This is in stark contrast with almost all Braun solo models manufactured prior to 2020 which didn’t allow pairing with a station. The trimmers simply fit in place of the regular foil cassette and can be used to trim the beard to a specific length. All new Series 5 variations are wet/dry and you can only shave cordlessly.
Picking a specific Series 6 model should come down to price, availability in your area and the inclusion of the accessories you’ll be needing. It’s a very decent shaver, but again, for the price and for the Series 6 moniker, you may expect braun shavers more. The Series 6, while in theory should be a middle to high-end shaver in Braun’s lineup, it’s really not. As usual, the performance will be identical throughout the entire Series 6 range, including the European/Australian models.
It even manages to capture flat hairs that go in different directions quite well, although is not as good as the Series 9 in that regard. There are a lot of currently available versions, but what you need to know is that they all shave the same. However, the differences are rather subtle and the quality of the shave and the end result are extremely similar.
