This is one of those products where the instructions are basically a complete fantasy. They make one false unstated assumption after another. And even then, they’re not simple. What you wind up with is a web of pipes and plastic pieces that falls apart at one end as you assemble the other. Then the instructions start to get really funny.
My experience with Ozark Trail equipment has been to reinforce the old adage “you get what you pay for”. I highly recommend that anyone looking for a good screen house spend the additional money and get a Swiss Gear. Don’t try to save ozark trail canopy a few dollars and end up with a POS like this one. When I got the thing home and deboxed it, the reality began to set in. Dozens of two-foot sections of pipe spilled onto the floor with stickers labeling them ‘1B’, ‘4’, or ‘2B’.
The overall construction is about what you expect for the price. Got one of these out of a storage unit at auction. Obviously used, but in good shape. Without instructions, it took me about 30 minutes to put it together and get it erected, by myself. Just had to comment after reading these old reviews of folks who couldn’t seem to set it up without either A.
Hard to set up for one person. It take 2 people at least to set this screen house up. This model has been discontinued and I only need two parts to fix it. No information on where I can get replacement parts. I need one of part ozark trail screen house number GBLL-05 (three-way hub gable left) and one of part number GBLR-05 (three-way hub gable right). Had I have known that this particular screen house was so hard to find, I would have bought a kit and tried to repair it.
Well I’m a camper and I intend to use this weekly. I borrowed this screen tent and thought it was a pain to put up…the center hub broke forcing me to duck tape it to keep it together. The new types that go right up without connections are so much better.
Bottom of screen doesn’t even tough the ground. This tent is only $47 at Walmart, however that is not the point. The hubs on the tent and the construction of the design are worthless.
I could not even get the top frame together with out it either bending the poles or coming apart. This is totaly wrong that ozark trail screen house a company doesn’t keep parts in stock. I was told to try and return it to the place I purchased it or wait the 4-6 weeks.
The were never opened by the seller. We have only been using one since. After a pretty bad storm at the beach, a few of the poles broke…so we are moving onto the next new one and selling the first for parts. We bought this screen house at an auction for $5.
