CrossWave Range®

No mop vac is fun to clean, and unlike robovacs, there isn’t a pricey model that has an auto-empty feature… yet. But many have a self-cleaning cycle that you can engage after cleaning once the mop vac is back on its charging dock. You still have to empty the dirty water tank and deal with the debris, and some are easier to clean than others. So I looked at how easy/hard/gross it was to clean the dirty water tanks, debris traps, dust bins, and washable filters.

Halve your cleaning time with our range of BISSELL® CrossWave® wet dry vacuum cleaners! CrossWave® is a two-in-one multi surface cleaner that vacuums and mops hard floors and refreshes low-pile rugs at the same time. Super easy and convenient to use, these revolutionary floor cleaners feature twin tank technology so you are always cleaning with fresh water and BISSELL solution. Ditch the old vacuum and mop and make life less messy with the BISSELL® CrossWave® range of products.

Ideal for regular, routine cleaning as well as those messy accidents that simply happen in an active family home. 25 minutes of uninterrupted run time enables you to simultaneously vacuum, wash and dry multiple rooms and floor types in the average sized house. And to learn more about how I tested mop vacs, how they work, and which models didn’t make the shortlist, keep reading. Though the breadth of the brand’s offerings in the vacuum mop combo category can be a bit overwhelming (more on that later), I highly recommend two Tineco models at different price points.

Cleaning with my CrossWave is such a breeze that I regret not investing in one sooner. It swivels and glides with ease—maneuvering around furniture and corners takes almost no effort. I also love that you can switch from cleaning hard floors to rugs with a push of a button. Because the vacuum sucks up most of the liquid bissell crosswave cordless used to clean, the floor dries within a few minutes. Back in the old manual-mop days, most of the floors in my apartment took at least 15 minutes to air-dry, and the tile floor by the stove always stayed wet for at least half an hour. Its floorhead pivots, allowing you to maneuver around obstacles pretty easily.

Its brushroll motor is stronger than its cordless alternative, so you can use this vacuum to clean carpeted floors. However, the Cordless Max can be used to easily clean faraway rooms with minimal bissell vacuum cleaner difficulty. It also features a self-cleaning function that slightly reduces hands-on maintenance requirements. The biggest issue with this Bissell CrossWave is its abysmal, 30-minute battery life.

The CrossWave Cordless Max also comes with a stellar set of bonus features for making your cleaning easier. Have pets with a knack for getting fur and hair along every single nook and cranny? Use the CrossWave’s improved edge cleaning to make your baseboards sparkle again. With a self-cleaning cycle that lets you just press a button and leave, and a 3-in-1 docking station for storage, cleaning, and charging, this vacuum has been designed for your optimum convenience.

It was our recommended mop vac until last year, when Tineco released the Floor One S7 Pro, a more advanced model with a handful of new smart features and nearly double the runtime of the S5 Combo. The Floor One S7 Pro has more advanced smart features than the S5 Combo too, and getting started is easy. When you power it on after charging for the first time, you’ll get a guided video tutorial on the LED screen (which also indicates cleaning mode, battery level, and maintenance alerts). Once the clean water tank has fresh water and solution, you can begin the floor cleaning—and you barely have to push the thing since the motor is self-propelled. No matter what surface you need to clean, the BISSELL CrossWave floor and carpet cleaner is up to the task.
