Braun Series 9 All-In-One

Because it’s not available anymore, I won’t be going into all the details regarding the model names, accessories and so on. The old Series 7 was in my opinion one of Braun’s best ever shavers and my personal favorite. Otherwise, the price difference for getting only a flexing head is probably not worth it.

The most important thing to consider, according to Quallis, is the blade type. The best electric razor for longer stubble or if you tend to shave less frequently is a rotary blade. “It’s designed to move in a circular motion and adjust to the contours of your face,” says Quallis. Dr. Hartman says, “Rotary electric razors suit men with regular to tough skin types, and with a medium to coarse beard density. I like nothing more than an easy-to-use, no-fuss-no-muss product that can cut down my grooming time.

For the other series, meaning from the Series 3 to the Series 7 70, I would get a solo model instead. For the Pro models, the 9465cc and 9460cc usually have the best price, but you should nevertheless get the one with the lowest price you can find in your country. The 9370cc has a single cleaning mode instead of 3, but that doesn’t matter as much in practice.

To find the ideal product, consider your skin type and personal preferences. Although the Braun series 3 310s and ProSKin 3040s Wet & Dry Electric Shavers look similar, there are several braun electric shavers important differences. The Braun Series 3 310s has a 20-minute battery life and weighs 11.64 oz. The Braun Series 3 ProSkin 3040s has a 50-minute battery life and weighs 13.69 oz.

Most of the new features, including the pre-shave ProComfort head, focus on more effectively lifting facial hair away from your skin allowing for a closer, smoother shave. Apart from the tweaked shaving head, the ProSkin shavers are also fitted with a larger rechargeable battery which can provide up to 45 minutes of use compared to 30 minutes on the basic models. Most of the current Braun electric razors are wet/dry models, meaning you can also shave in the shower or with shaving cream/gel. Top-rated Venus® products come in feminine designs and provide exceptional hair removal. Venus manufactures standard razors with changeable cartridges, disposable razors and satiny shave gel, for a full line of shaving products that remove hair and soften skin at the same time.

A dirty razor can result in uneven shaving and potentially cause ingrown hairs or acne. Unlike shaving with a traditional razor or safety razor, an electric razor has a pretty low learning curve. But that doesn’t mean you should just take your electric razor out of the box and start zooming without first knowing how to get a close shave.

Here at Walgreens, we have a wide selection of Braun electric shavers, ranging from foil shavers to facial hair trimmers, so that you can easily achieve your desired look. Modern electric razors can deliver impressively close shaves, but they can’t quite match the closeness of manual razors. The Series 7 razors consistently produce close, comfortable shaves and are easy to use and maintain. Most shavers are rinsable, and you can easily clean them under water with a quick brush of the foils. Some, like the Braun Series 7 and 9 models we recommend, come with cleaning stations. Generally, replacement cleaning cartridges last about three months and cost a little over $5 each if you buy them in six-packs.

Unfortunately, because of the very basic cutting system comprised of a single foil element, the performance of the Braun Series 1 simply won’t be good enough for most users. But getting back to the 11B/10B, it’s a very basic single foil and single blade set that should be replaced every 18 months according to Braun. As you can tell from the comparison table above, some models like the 190s are cordless-only shavers, while the 170s and 130s models are corded-only. Most dry-only variations are however waterproof and you’ll still be able to safely clean them with water. As a rule of thumb, the higher the number of a series, the better, more capable and more advanced the shavers belonging to that series are — e.g. a Series 8 razor is better than a Series 3.

The dual foil blades give a quick, close shave whenever and wherever you need it. No matter your reason for using an electric razor, the biggest thing is finding the right one. The good news is that no matter what your budget, skin or hair type, or grooming acumen, there’s an electric razor that will suit your lifestyle.
