And you have to make sure that the zipper is closed well and also sprayed with a water repellent. But unfortunately, they are many morons out there that don’t know the first thing about camping. I have been camping all of my life and I know camping gear.
The weight of this Ozark Trail is lighter than most of the same size alternative steel frame canopy tents, coming in right about 29 lbs. An argument can be made as to whether this is good or bad. From a positive perspective, the lightweight ozark trail tumbler design increases portability which is certainly important in carrying the tent to its intended location. From a negative perspective, the weight is indicative of a lack of high quality material and components used throughout the shelter.

I purchased this tent to take to music festivals and such, because it is like a small house. However, for its second trip it just fell apart. One day into a 3-day festival, I returned to camp to find both of the large poles snapped right in two.
It’s easy to set up and take down for convenient storage when not in use. The Ozark Trail 10FT x 10FT Slant Leg Canopy sits on four slanted legs for extra security. It includes a handy carrying bag for added convenience during transport. Take this shade creator on a camping trip to enjoy time out of the sun or rain. It’s worth highlighting that despite the advertised dimensions of the 10×10 Ozark Trail, because this is a slant leg shelter the top only measures 8×8.
The legs are locked into place with old school metal push button locks, something you won’t see on many modern pop up tents now-a-days. These push locks get very difficult to use over time, especially if the tent is used on the beach and exposed to sand and saltwater, causing rust build up. Many newer tent brands like EZ-Up use revolutionary thumb lock sliders or larger easy to release buttons, which are a much better user experience when setting the canopy up or taking it down.
This is just to let you know of my background and my knowledge. Your tents are not even good for more than two or three camping trips before the 10 has to be replaced because of your substandard zippers you put on the front door. I have had them break while pulling on them. We just bought this tent over the weekend and put it up. I really liked the way it looked and the space but will not be able to use it due to the leaks. When something says “waterproof” it does not mean it will not leak.
But I do not plan on buying a new tent anytime soon. I received my Ozark tent from my grandparents, which I used 9 years ago when we went camping with them. Not the best, but certainly better than other shelters I’ve stayed in. At least it is easy to clean and provides bug protection. This piece of crap promises the buyer a lot for a lot of money, but what you get is something of lesser quality than if you bought a tent from the local Dollar store. Overall this is a wonderful tent that has held up well to many years of family camping.
I am very pleased with the quality of these tents. This tent is ok…I bought with the money that I had saved up and I really wanted a cool looking tent. I think that this 35 dollar tent could outlast the expensive ones. Mine is red and black and the rainfly covers everything except for a tiny place to get in.
