Product PresentationGenesis created the global product presentation for the world’s largest quality bicycle manufacturer. UK bike brand Genesis began in 2001 as a single bike – the Genesis Day One – and exploded in popularity. The store’s website currently lists new bikes from Trek, Electra, Salsa, All-city and Jamis. The site said a retirement sale would begin Thursady and the store will be closed May 4-7 as trek prepares to re-open under the new ownership. Tomias Hinchcliff opened the store in 1974 “with two bikes in a tiny storefront in downtown Easton,” he said on the store website.
Genesis bikes became renowned for their use of steel tubing and ethos for function over form. The first Genesis bike was produced under the Ridgeback brand as the Day One model genesis bike in 2001. Due to its popularity, Genesis became a label in its own right in 2006. With so many different variables this is an impossible question for us to answer properly!
It’s who we are and we embrace that as we share our latest range. Product PresentationFrom free-ride, long-travel mountain models to fun city bikes, the presentation is a key attractor on the sales floor. They have a program called BikesGiving where they ask customers… Singletrack uses affiliate services called Skimlinks and which means we may earn revenue if you buy a product after clicking a link to a retailer on our site. In 2019 Genesis became aware of a potential problem involving the durability of Samox AF-13 single speed chainsets, specified on certain Day One models. Full details of the voluntary recall can be found here.
However, through our online retail partner Freewheel, you are able spread the cost of your new bike via a finance scheme. For more information please see the Freewheel finance page here. We recommend noting down your frame number (located on the underside of the Bottom Bracket) and using one of the many online services available. We may be able to supply a digital file of the decal you need but you will need to prove you own the bike. The best way to test-ride a Genesis is to contact your local Genesis dealer.
Genesis champion themselves on built in practicalities that can be seen throughout the range, enabling their use daily across many different scenarios. All our bikes are designed at our HQ in Milton Keynes but we’re extremely proud to be able to use some expert workshops in Vietnam and Indonesia for production. All our frames are put together by hand in batches and then assembled before being shipped over to our warehouse. Unfortunately we do not range Genesis branded components for after sale. Your local Genesis dealer may be able to source a spare. At Genesis we have a history of doing things our own way, whether that’s making bikes we want to ride, or heading in a direction that might seem a little crazy at the time.
