Genesis Bikes: Your Reliable Cycling Partner

There aren’t a whole lot of dealers that carry this bike right now, in part because I believe their margins are very low, but it is available online. If you do get it over the Internet there will be some assembly involved and it can take some effort to work with. Ultimately, you get power and decent range here but only have a twist throttle to take advantage of it. Pedal assist adds cost and complexity but helps when climbing hills and ultimately extends your range while giving your wrist a break. The pack on this bike is removable and feels pretty solid but the rack it mounts to is high up and fairly rigid which creates more strain.

This bike is designed for lightweight bike-packing, able to tackle ultra-distances on mixed terrain. The Fugio is a rowdier bike than the Croix de Fer, more suited to playing around on the trails and using the bumps as a platform to get some air. The dropper seatpost, slacker head angle, shorter chainstays and clearance for tyres up to 50mm wide on 650b wheels are responsible for this more playful handling. These bikes are designed for longer days out being able to handle heavier loads and rougher roads.

Also, ensure your brakes are working properly and adjust them as needed. The Genesis Tour de Fer, as the name suggests, is a fully equipped long distance all road tourer. One of the great strengths of the Genesis range is their commuter/ all round/ cyclocross bikes – the Croix de Fer, Tour de Fer and CDA. Your bike frame & fork are protected under our Lifetime Warranty policy. We become title sponsor of the all-new Madison Genesis cycling team, bringing steel back to the peloton with prototype Reynolds 953 and 931 tubed Volare framesets. Our love affair with steel road bikes begins with the Reynolds 853 Equilibrium.

Affordable, high power electric bike with a decent warranty but rear heavy design. Limited suspension, relies on cushy seat and balloon tires to smooth out the bumps… Affordable, highpowerelectricbikewithadecentwarrantybutrearheavydesign.

Tyre clearance is increase to 38c, there are discrete mudguard and pannier mounts and an extra set of bottle bosses is present on the downtube. Ostensibly, this is a more budget-oriented version of the Vapour Carbon. Disc brakes remain present, but they have been changed to mechanical rather than hydraulic. The drivetrain is still a performance genesis mountain bike oriented 1×11 set up and, in all, this is still a competitive racing machine. With a 2×9 Shimano Sora groupset and mechanical disc brakes, there are notable differences to the higher end Croix de Fer. But these won’t present an impediment to getting out and using the frame for the huge variety of applications it has the capability for.

Product PresentationFrom free-ride, long-travel mountain models to fun city bikes, the presentation is a key attractor on the sales floor. Just because a bike is designed for one specific purpose doesn’t mean it is limited to that purpose. Adventure bikes are very versatile and can be put to a multitude of uses. If you want more control over exactly what components your bikes is built with, both of these are available to buy as just the frameset. In this range there are also women’s specific models – in addition to the unisex ones.

That way, we can provide exactly what you need to get the most out of your bike. The first thing you notice is that the cockpit is comfortable, it just feels right. Not too long and well balanced with none of the ‘too much weight on the wrists’ feeling that sometimes comes on trail hardtails.

We have listed the maximum tyre size each frame can take at the bottom of the bike specification pages. We may be able to supply a digital file of the decal you need but you will need to prove you own the bike.
