The hotels were great, especially the fabulous Kruger Gate Hotel. The safaris were the highlight, but everything we did was memorable. It will be hard to weed through more than a thousand photos I took. Having an intimate group of 26 people was a large positive factor. Our tour director, Belinda, was the icing on the cake.
I encourage all future travelers to sign up for mongoose excursion the optional tours to get the full experience of the areas you will visit. The trip to Namibia was beautiful and unique. The diversity of the landscape that we covered was amazing. From dunes, to the ocean, to the desert to game parks.
He was usually the first vehicle in our group to reach the wildlife, and was able to maneuver for the best photo angles. Our driver/guides – Yona, Chris and Edmand were thorough professionals – and went out of their way to make this trip a once in a lifetime experience. The lodges we stayed at, the food and the staff all met our expectations. The diversity of wildlife and avian life we saw was simply amazing. We were especially impressed by the friendliness of the Ugandan people – who all smiled and spoke softly. Still recovering from the long flight. The accommodations on the tour were great, much better than we anticipated, with many large included meals. The recent change to the Pullman Hotel in Cape Town is a good one. In summary, it was a fantastic and unforgettable African adventure.
