The durable steel support poles and fiberglass pole roof gave us confidence in the product’s sturdiness, even in windy conditions. Overall, the tent provided a comfortable living space, with its screen porch offering extra ventilation while keeping bugs away. Despite the minor issue I faced, I believe the Ozark Trail Tent is a suitable option for families looking for a large and functional camping tent.
We erected each model and measured the height and floor space compared to the other tents. Typical cathedral tents offered a 10×10 floor space, whereas many more niche tents had varying sizes. Another key aspect of functionality is the extra convenience features provided by various models. For example, hanging ozark trail canopy loops, storage compartments, and built-in pockets make canopy use easier and more organized. If you can spend a bit more and want a more traditional cathedral shape, the Caravan V-Series is a good choice. We are also very impressed with the overall value the Coleman 10×10 Sun Shelter brings to the table.
If you have the manual and can scan it and e-mail me I would really appreciated it. I loved sitting outside and eat dinner in the screen house and mess it. I was wondering if anyone out there can e-mail me the manual. I packed my Ozark Trail WMT1412R 14’x12′ Screen House away because of Huricane Katrina and I guess in all the confusion I did not pack the manual in a waterproof container. My screen house and all the poles were safe but the manual got water soaked and since we did not get the screen house out it is now unreadable besides we cannot separate the pages.
The red and gray combination of the tent makes it stand out among other camping tents. During the winter and early spring of 2017, we added four more canopy tents to our testing lineup. In addition to the models from REI and L.L.Bean, which became our new top picks, we tested the Coleman 15 × 13 Instant Screenhouse and the Wenzel Sun Valley Screen House.
Our experts teamed up to develop a rigorous test plan, which we applied to every canopy tent in this review. We learn a lot about each model by testing in varying environments, including mountains, forests, ozark trail screen house lakes, beaches, and dunes. Each canopy was set up and broken down repeatedly to assess its ease of use and craftsmanship, separating the well-designed from the failure-prone or confusing models.
