When I said Originally, I was referring to before the 1983 redesign. I.E, the early Motomag, Team, and Supergoose with the first gen drop outs and the double front gusset. The Motomag frames had a Cro Mo front triangle with a mild steel rear.
This (and many other teams alike) helped grow BMX through an endless series of demonstrations around the country. With new tricks being introduced at a rapid rate and the refining of a ‘professionalism’ to the demonstrations, BMX was unstoppable. Turning back to the Mongoose story, the 1970s had treated the company well and momentum was only further embellished with the successful release of ‘E.T.

RECO (Racer Engineering Company) was a wholly owned manufacturing division created for insurance purposes to be separate from BMX Products, Inc, even though RECO was always in house. It was headed by Vice President of Manufacturing Hoppy Brooks in his attempt to market motorcycle frames but was according to Skip “totally unsuccessful”.
A friend of mine had a solution pro back in like 94-95,, that bike rode awesome and my other buddy had the first run of the Tim Hall frames in like 95 I think,, that was a great trail bike, that thing rode like a Cadillac. The thing rides so good that my daughter just bought a 1999 off of craigslist. Well, from reading the posts, some really stick to old school American made while others do not mind Mid school or things being made in Japan or Taiwan. For now, until I can afford that old school Super goose I will ride this loop tail and have some fun. With momentum afoot, Mongoose took the natural path of producing bikes and eventually, parts. Under the production name ‘BMX Products’, 1975 saw the very first batch of heli-arc welded frames which again, were designed with the BMX biker in mind.
