Ozark Trail 12-Person 3-Room Instant Cabin Tent with Screen Room

The Ozark Trail 10-Person Tent has just 1 door, which is a D-shaped door, and it’s located somewhere along the length of the tent. There are 2 windows along the length of the tent, and 1 window on the width of the tent. Next, attach the 6 steel wall poles to the elbow connectors (the top of each pole) and to the pin at the other end (the base of each pole). The 2 green pole sleeves are for the longer diagonal poles ozark trail instant cabin (with 9 fiberglass segments), and the 1 blue pole sleeve is the for the shorter pole (with 5 fiberglass segments).

The 4 corners of this large gear organizer have an S-hook, and each of these are to be attached to the fabric loops on the back wall of the tent. The other 2 panels at the top are just full mesh and can’t be zipped up (and are covered by the rainfly in the picture above). And as for the quality of the mesh, here’s a close-up of what it looks like, it’s just regular mosquito netting. The peak height at the center of this Ozark Trail tent is just 65.5 inches, which is right about the marketed peak height of 66 inches. I really liked how almost everything was pre-attached; this includes the pre-attached poles, pre-attached pole clips, and the 4 pre-attached guylines.

I almost went to refund the tent, but it did not qualify @ the time. We found that company representatives are reluctant to estimate the lifespan of their tents. When pushed, most of the reps we talked to estimated five to 10 years, though the actual lifespan will vary widely depending on care and frequency of use (for more advice, read REI’s excellent tips).

For cons, there’s only 1 door in the entire 10-person tent, there’s almost no ventilation at all when it’s raining, and it also leaks within just 15 minutes of light rain. The mattresses that I used in the picture above are slightly smaller than queen size, but almost queen-sized, give or take a couple of inches. These 4 mattresses take up the entire tent, and there’s hardly any space leftover for camping gear. To test the tents, we first opened them, splayed out their parts, and tried to put them together without consulting the instructions.

Simple – it’s a feature-packed tent that provides all the benefits of a large tent while minimizing the negatives. Weighing only 16.81 lbs it is one of the lighter tents on this list, but will be one of the easiest to set up in 5-10 minutes. Sure, the chairs are a bit small, and the pillows are tiny camping pillows, but this deal is a steal for those without any gear. For pros, the Ozark Trail 10-Person Cabin Tent is very, very inexpensive, and is by far my least expensive tent for the size. This Ozark Trail 10-Person Tent has a packed size of 29 by 18 by 13 inches. For a size comparison, here’s what it looks like beside a Coleman 2-Person Sundome Tent, as well as a 32-ounce Nalgene bottle, and it weighs about 30 pounds for everything.

As each room is big enough to fit a queen airbed, there wouldn’t be much space left for bags and other gear. With the versatility of 3 rooms, we love how well this tent would work in a group or family camping situation. If you’re staying with kids, you have the option to shut yourself away with a sturdy zippered door and recharge. So you have seen it, and you realize why it is easy to get impressed with this Ozark Trail 12 Person Instant Cabin 16 x 16 3-Room Tent. It is very functional and this is probably the most important word which I can use to describe it.

The rainfly has to be in place, so the ceiling mesh will be covered. You might get a little bit of ventilation through the gap between the ceiling mesh and the rainfly, but I think it’s pretty minimal. Both the tent and the rain fly is polyester and the waterproof rating on both is 600 mm. They do not provide any info about the floor material, but it looks different than the rest. The Ozark Trail 10-Person Instant Cabin Tent is the perfect tent to take with you on your next outdoor adventure. It was very difficult to roll the tent back into its original shape to return to store.

We love these better than simple divider curtains because they are completely closed off. You can achieve full isolation, whereas zippered dividers can sometimes have a slight amount of open space around the edges. The joints are plastic, but we don’t think this would affect the strong build.
