Coleman Sundome 4 Person Tent for sale

This tent is also better suited to backpacking than the Sundome. The E-port makes it easy to bring your electronics with you by allowing space for an extension cord to enter the tent. But most users who had used one found that fitting anyone else in the tent – even without an air mattress of their own – was very tight. You can also improve the durability of your tent floor by laying a tarp or a tent footprint before pitching to offer added protection. Some users also found issues with the protective polyethylene (PE) flooring being damaged within a few uses.

Set up camp in a compact yet spacious tent with the Coleman® Sundome® 3-Person Dome. If it rains, this tent Keeps You Dry…Guaranteed™, thanks to the WeatherTec™ system, which uses a tub floor with patented corner welds, protected seams, and a covered zipper to help keep water out. Meanwhile, the compact dome shape and a strong frame are tested to withstand 35+ MPH winds. You’ll get even more weather protection from a door awning and an included rainfly.

For $69 this is an affordable entry level tent for a someone new to camping in mild conditions (more on that in a sec). The power port is pretty convenient and the vent window located near the ground allows for air circulation. coleman sundome Sundome 2 has a good sized carry bag and it holds the tent with room to spare. In the bag, you’ll find the tent body, two long poles for the tent body, one short pole for the rain fly, a small “welcome mat” and (9) stakes.

To gauge livability, we brought along two adults, a portable crib, and a dog, and found that the Sundome 6 provided more than enough room for summertime adventures. We were able to move around comfortably, the sleeping space easily accommodated the aforementioned crib and a double-wide, 52-inch mat, and the generous amount of mesh made for an airy feel overall. In practice, we almost always recommend sizing up your tent, and we think the Sundome 6 work bests with groups of three to four people. Coleman also offers the Sundome 4, which we think is ideal for two campers and a dog.

Like most tents under $100, the Coleman Sundome Camping Tent is made out of water-resistant polyester. While it’s not technically waterproof, it does come with two protective awnings that cover both windows, and I’ve never had rain or dew seep in. In terms of wind, I’ve never camped in a tornado, but I have camped in 25 mph winds and had no trouble.
